Under the theme  "Future Competitiveness", over two days the conference debated the importance and relevance of innovation, sustainability, resilience, partnerships and inclusion in the development of public and business strategies.

Organised by the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils and the Council on Competitiveness, GIS brought together world leaders, government agencies and universities.

From December 1 to December 2, the online conference was divided into several panels focusing on the five key concepts for the future mentioned above: innovation, partnerships, resilience, inclusion and sustainability. The sharing of experiences and best practices provided an insight for all leaders on how to incorporate these concepts into strategies for truly inclusive prosperity.

The Rector of UCP took part in the panel on "Future Partnerships", alongside Charles Kiefel (The Principals Funds Management), Dimitris Lagoudas (Texas A&M University), Bernardo Calzadilla-Sarmiento (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and Pedro Wongtschowski (Ultra Brasil Group).
