FCSE professor becomes the first Portuguese to be named a Fellow of NANDA International

Sílvia Caldeira, a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing (FCSE), was recently distinguished as a Fellow of NANDA International (NANDA-I), making her the first Portuguese member of this prestigious international nursing association.

Appointment as a Fellow of NANDA-I represents recognition of excellence and is awarded to nursing leaders who demonstrate significant expertise in the development and application of standardized nursing language in the areas of education, management, clinical practice, informatics and research.

Since its creation in 2012 during the organization's 40th anniversary conference, the NANDA-I Fellows community has brought together outstanding professionals who, through their work and dedication, actively contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge and practice globally.

This international recognition is a source of pride for FCSE and the national academic community, reinforcing Portugal's contribution to the development of nursing.
