FCH students featured in Visão

Vanessa Vollenschier, Margarida Mira and Luísa Lou Weng Sam, students from the Faculty of Human Sciences, have had their texts published by Visão magazine, as part of a partnership between the magazine and the optional subject of the degrees in Applied Foreign Languages and Social and Cultural Communication, Citizenships, Borders and the Global World.

This partnership was intended to reward the best essay written by the students in the class. However, Visão magazine ended up publishing the texts of the three students, due to their interest and quality.

Margarida Abreu Award
The  Faculty of Human Sciences will honor the legacy of Margarida Abreu, a social worker and distinguished professor, by establishing the Margarida Abreu Award, which aims to support, on an annual basis starting in the 2026/2027 academic year, one student entering the Undergraduate Degree in Social Work whose life story demonstrates exceptional resilience, the ability to overcome challenges, and a commitment to the values of social work.

A joint initiative by The Lisbon Consortium and the School of Arts at Universidade Católica took place at its headquarters in Lisbon, attended by students, artists, curators, filmmakers and international researchers. Find out more here.
