FCH student distinguished in the IX edition of the OCI Awards for Excellence in Internal Communication

Ana Grilo, student of the Master in Communication Sciences of Faculdade de Ciências Humanas (FCH) of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), was distinguished in the IX edition of the Excellence Awards in Internal Communication. Her dissertation "A Comunicação Interna em rede nas organizações - Estudo de Processo: Intranet Infraestruturas de Portugal" was awarded in the category Academic Work on Internal Communication

The Internal Communication Excellence Awards, in the scope of the Internal Communication Observatory (OCI) activity, are an initiative developed with the aim of rewarding and distinguishing the best internal communication practices developed by public and private organisations or academic work presented by Master students.

The IX edition of the OCI Awards counted with the Rear Admiral António Gameiro Marques, responsible for the National Security Office (GNS) and the National Security Center (CNS), as President of Honor of the Jury, joining a group of 8 jurors composed by the Founding Council: ATREVIA and the Faculty of Human Sciences and, Advisory Council of the OCI: Bank of Portugal, BP, EDP, Grupo Nabeiro, PLMJ and Santander.

Margarida Abreu Award
The  Faculty of Human Sciences will honor the legacy of Margarida Abreu, a social worker and distinguished professor, by establishing the Margarida Abreu Award, which aims to support, on an annual basis starting in the 2026/2027 academic year, one student entering the Undergraduate Degree in Social Work whose life story demonstrates exceptional resilience, the ability to overcome challenges, and a commitment to the values of social work.
