Faculdade de Medicina Dentária's Professor in Portuguese Dental Association

Susana Silva, dental professional and lecturer at Faculdade de Medicina Dentária of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Viseu, was integrated in the team of social organs of the Portuguese Dental Association last Saturday.

The inauguration of the social organs took place on July 18th at 15:30 at the Altice Forum, in the city of Braga, with live broadcasting on the YouTube channel of the Portuguese Dental Association.

Miguel Pavão, the new staff member, will lead the governing bodies, elected in June 2020, for the 2020/2024 term. In addition to the staff member, the new members of the Directive Council, General Council, General Assembly, Fiscal Council and Deontological and Disciplinary Council of the OMD took office at the ceremony. 


The event took place with the following program:

  • Inauguration of the President of the General Assembly, Carlos Silva, President-elect, Miguel Pavão and the President of the Board of Ethics and Discipline, Luís Filipe Correia

  • Speech by Miguel Pavão, staff member of the Portuguese Dental Association
  • Speech by the Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, André Moz Caldas

  • Taking office of all the members of the corporate bodies

Universidade Católica Portuguesa joins 1.1 million euro project to develop natural food supplements
The Universidade Católica Portuguesa, through SalivaTec, one of the research platforms of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Health Research (CIIS) at the Faculty of Dental Medicine (FMD), is one of the partner institutions in the RedSup4Health research project, which aims to develop natural food supplements from cherries, peaches and blueberries.
