EBSCO Open Day Lisbon 2024: Exploring the Future of Education and Research

On 9 May, the Mar da Palha Auditorium, located in the Lisbon Oceanarium, will host the 2024 edition of EBSCO Open Day Lisbon.  

Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, will present the event's opening lecture "Challenges and hopes in promoting the intersection of Europe higher education, libraries and research". The highlight of this edition will be the discussion of highly relevant topics such as artificial intelligence, the present and future of transformative agreements and emerging technologies in library services. 

The event, organised by EBSCO, one of the leading providers of scientific research services, publications and databases, promises to be a space for learning, exchanging experiences and visions about the future of education and research, boosting the dissemination of knowledge and enhancing collaboration between academic institutions and libraries
