Dr. Rui Manuel Sousa takes office and several Professors are reappointed

Professor Rui Manuel Soucasaux Meneses e Sousa took office this Friday, May 29, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa as Director of the Faculty of Economics and Management (Católica Porto Business School), highlighting the three future challenges for the Faculty, focused on teaching, research and internationalization.

The occasion was also marked by the reappointment of Professor João Carlos Espada as Director of the Institute of Political Studies (IEP), who, by thanking the IEP team, reinforced its role in the success of the Institute; of Professor Margarida Maria Silva Vieira as Assistant Director of the ICS and Director of the School of Nursing in Porto, who highlighted the progress of the School in the last six years, reinforcing the ongoing commitment to "research at the service of the community and teaching based on research that serves the community"; and Professor Fernando Ilharco in the position of Director of the Centre for the Study of Portuguese-Speaking Peoples and Cultures, who highlighted CEPCEP's mission to understand "the peoples and cultures of Portuguese expression in a global, interconnected and deeply challenging context such as today's".
