Collaborative project promotes the development of skills of Psychology students

Students from the Psychology Degrees of the Faculty of Education and Psychology and the Faculty of Human Sciences participated in a joint project that provided, through intra-institutional dialogue, the development of scientific and transversal skills such as critical thinking, communication skills, the ability to adapt to new situations, problem-solving skills and teamwork.

It lasted 5 weeks and included asynchronous tasks and 3 synchronous classes, with the participation of 118 students, who reflected on the societal changes involving the families living in Portugal in the 21st century, mirrored in the results of the Census 2021.

Within a logic of curricular differentiation, the collaboration project took place within the scope of the 3rd year of the degree's Systemic and Narrative Models (FEP) and Family Psychology (FCH) courses, under the coordination of the teachers Vânia Sousa Lima and Rita Francisco, respectively.

Through this initiative, through a partnership between the two UCP faculties, the aim was to promote, among the students, the development of imperative skills in the professional practice of Psychologists in a constantly changing context.
