Católica Porto Business School re-accredited by AMBA for the next five years

Católica Porto Business School and its flagship programme, the Executive MBA, have been officially re-accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), a global authority on post-graduate business education. This significant recognition not only reaffirms our school’s commitment to excellence but also endorses our high standards and quality.

As Católica Porto Business School’s Dean, João Pinto, proudly states, "this reaccreditation is a testament to the school’s excellence in our MBA programme. The peer-review team stated various commendations for the school and the programme, including the strong brand and reputation, the strong leadership team in place, the atmosphere within in the faculty, the high standard of the teaching and learning facilities, the school’s prompt response to feedback from stakeholders, the connection with companies committed to the Executive MBA, and the programme’s personalised approach.”

Luís Marques, the current director of the Executive MBA programme, added: "For the 20th anniversary of our Executive MBA, we have prepared some refreshments and partnerships, such as the new collaboration with the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), which joins esade (Spain) and Luiss (Italy), or the new Business Plan unit and the extension of the Human & Leadership Skills unit. We will have a great 20th edition for our new MBA students."

AMBA was founded in 1967, in London, and its primary focus was providing accreditation to Master of Business Administration programmes. Nowadays, it is one of the three main global accreditation bodies in business education and positions itself as the world's authority on postgraduate management education.

Católica Porto Business School is part of a select group of less than 1% of business schools worldwide accredited by EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System, by the European Foundation for Management Development), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). In Portugal, Católica Porto Business School is one of the three schools whose programmes are triple-accredited, being the only one on the north of the country.
