Católica Corporate Governance: Católica gathers to discuss "The Digital and Global University"

The 2021 edition of the Católica Corporate Governance took place this October in Viseu. This annual meeting gathers Universidade Católica's Boards of Directors in a reflection of the events of the current year and the preparation of the following year.

Under the motto "The Digital and Global University", the 2021 edition began with the Rector of the UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, who presented the milestones of 2021. Amongst those achievements are the recognition of Católica as the best University in Portugal for the 3rd consecutive year, according to the Times Higher Education ranking, or the inauguration of the Medical School, which began its 1st academic year in September 2021. After this brief review about 2021, the Rector of UCP spoke about the opportunities and challenges for 2022.

The event included presentations not only by UCP leaders, but also from guests from outside the University such as António Martins da Costa (EDP and President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Portugal), who spoke about "University and Business Innovation", and François Mabille (Secretary-General of the International Federation of Catholic Universities), who made a presentation on the role of Catholic Universities in turbulent times.

The internal interventions were diversified and included topics such as the digital transformation of the University, Campus Veritati and the Digital Ethics Lab of the UCP, which discussed how the digital transversally affects our everyday lives. This meeting also included a visit to UCP's Viseu Campus, where among other places, SalivaTec was visited.

A meeting marked by a vision of the future and the search to do more and better for the entire community.
