Católica Braga Launches Energy Community

The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) – Braga Campus will inaugurate its Energy Community on September 7 at 5:00 p.m. in the Isidro Alves Auditorium, as part of an initiative that reinforces the institution’s commitment to sustainability and the promotion of innovative solutions in the field of energy transition.

The inauguration ceremony will feature remarks by Paulo Dias, Vice Rector of UCP–Braga, who will open and close the event.

The program includes a Colloquium on Sustainability, led by Ana Salazar, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Management, which will provide an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainability and the energy transition.

This will be followed by a presentation on Energy Communities by José Queiroz de Almeida, CEO of Greenvolt, who will explain this model of energy production and sharing and its contribution to a more sustainable future.

The event concludes with a coffee and networking session, designed to provide a space for participants to meet, share ideas, and engage in dialogue.

The launch of the Energy Community thus represents another step forward in Católica Braga’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the development of solutions that contribute to a more environmentally conscious and energy-efficient society.
