Catarina Valdigem wins the “Esperança em Ação” Photography Contest

Catarina Valdigem, lecturer at the Faculty of Human Sciences, of the Universidade Católica, is the winner of the “Esperança em Ação” photography contest, promoted by CASUS – Católica for Sustainability and by the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, as part of the 2025 Jubilee Year – Pilgrims of Hope.

The portfolio “Caminhos da Esperança” brings together ten analogue photographs captured between June and September 2025, “taken in different places, cities, and countries, representing hope in the common humanity that walks throughout the world.” The selected photographs create a visual journey that explores themes such as faith, pilgrimage, innocence, affection, communion with nature, and a commitment to the most vulnerable, highlighting symbolic places like Lourdes and Covadonga.
