Call for Manuscripts for the first volume of the Textos Volantes series

The Call for Manuscripts, organised by the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC) of the Faculdade de Ciências Humanas, is now open for the first volume of the series Textos Volantes.

The initiative's main goal is to publish a "folha volante", thus reviving the format and genre in Portugal. The publication, annual and of rotating genre, will be in charge of Universidade Católica Editora (UCE).

Ten original manuscripts, written in any variant of the Portuguese language, will be pre-selected by members of the research line Literature and the Global Contemporary (CECC/UCP) and then assessed by a jury.

The manuscript should be sent to cecc@ucp.pt by January 31, 2022.

 

Award:

  • Publication of the story by Universidade Católica Editora.

Culture, War, and Peace debated at the XIV Lisbon Summer School for the Study of Culture
The relationship between Culture and War was under debate from June 24 to 29 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the UCP in Lisbon. Organised by the Lisbon Consortium of the Faculty of Human Sciences, it is also the first Summer School of the Transform4Europe university alliance. Read more here.
