Artificial Intelligence, theme of Breakfast@Católica, "Meet the Global Thought Leaders

"One of the most influential personalities in the area of the development of Artificial Intelligence worldwide", this is how the President of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Isabel Capeloa Gil, presented Daniela Braga, guest of another Breakfast@Católica, "Meet the Global Thought Leaders".

At the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the University in Lisbon and brought together former students, professors, CEOs, managers and administrators, the CEO of Defined.ai, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Marketplace, spoke about the growing trends in this area.

"After a winter in which nothing happened, we are going through a process of demystification of Artificial Intelligence", said the guest speaker, highlighting the growth of natural language processing, voice interfaces, for its varied applicability and artificially generated content.

On this subject, Daniela Braga stated that the "path followed by these trends is not exempt from ethical and moral issues" and that "if one realises that AI is useful, then debate is a good thing".

Daniela Braga also alerted to the path ahead in the field of personal information protection and gave two examples: the data collection that is done by the "Big Five Companies" and the time that each user "would take to read the Terms and Conditions, every time there is an update, (one month per year)".

The event ended with the presentation, to the guests, of the synthetic voice of the speaker specialising in the area of human-computer interaction.
