Access to the Oxford University Voltaire Platform
Members of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa community have free access to the Oxford University Voltaire (OV) Platform from March 2 to April 1, 2026. Outside the campuses, access should be made via the sign-in option.
Oxford University Voltaire brings together the complete works of Voltaire with advanced academic research tools.
The platform offers:
- Over 2,000 texts and 21,000 items of correspondence;
- Extensive notes, commentary, and introductions, as well as textual variants based on all authorised editions and manuscripts produced during Voltaire’s lifetime;
- Advanced search and navigation with sophisticated filters;
- Stable references, linked to printed editions and DOIs;
- A fully bilingual interface in French and English.
The content corresponds to the Œuvres complètes de Voltaire (Oxford, Voltaire Foundation, 1967–2022), now made available on a digital platform designed to support new forms of academic research.
