Workshop “The Absence of Adequate Shareholder Financing of the Company: Consequences”
Thursday, January 22, 2026 - 18:00
Online
As part of the launch of the 6th edition of the Postgraduate Programme in Direito das Sociedades Comerciais, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is hosting, on 22 January, a workshop dedicated to the analysis of a central topic in contemporary company law: the adequate financing of companies.
22 January | 6:00 p.m. | Online
The workshop will focus in particular on whether shareholders are under a duty to finance the company and on the legal consequences of their refusal to do so. Special attention will be given to the protection of creditors’ interests, in a context in which corporate undercapitalisation is assuming increasing practical relevance.
The discussion will feature Paulo de Tarso Domingues, lecturer on the Postgraduate Programme and widely recognised as the leading national authority on corporate financing, and Maria de Fátima Ribeiro, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme and lecturer at the Faculty of Law – Porto School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Register and take part in this workshop.
