The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), in collaboration with the University of Trieste (UNITS), is organising the event ‘My Chatbot is always there for me: The ethical dilemmas of artificial intelligence assistants and companions’, which will take place in Trieste on 29 September, at 11:30am.
The discussion will be led by William Hasselberger, Professor of Politics and Director of the Digital Ethics Lab at UCP, and presented by Francesco Miele, Researcher in General Sociology at UNITS.
The central theme will be reflection on AI companies and humanised conversations, with debate on a crucial question: Should we embrace artificial relationships to combat loneliness and social isolation?
The event will be broadcast live on Transform4Europe's YouTube channel.
