Information Session | Postgraduate Programme in International Arbitration, International Mediation and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)

The Porto Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in partnership with the ICFML (Instituto de Certificação e Formação de Mediadores Lusófonos), is hosting an online information session on the new Postgraduate Programme in International Arbitration, International Mediation and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR).

Bringing together three fast-growing areas of legal practice, this session is designed to help participants understand how the programme equips professionals for an increasingly global and digital dispute-resolution landscape. It will also offer prospective applicants the chance to clarify questions and gain insight into the academic and professional relevance of this qualification.

Throughout the session, the coordination team will outline:

• the programme’s core goals and its curriculum structure;
• the international background and expertise of the teaching staff;
• the practical and strategic competences students will develop, particularly in managing cross-border disputes and applying online dispute resolution mechanisms;
• the admissions process, including key dates and selection criteria.

Real-world examples will be shared to illustrate how arbitration, mediation and ODR are being used today in both legal practice and corporate environments.
