CEID resumes the Católica Talks – Porto series with a session dedicated to the theme “Artificial Intelligence: Legal Challenges.” This presentation will explore the concepts of explainability, transparency, and contestability in the context of artificial intelligence systems in the digital age. Building on the distinctions between these notions, we will examine how each of these dimensions contributes to understanding and trust in algorithmic systems, and consider their implications for legal frameworks.
