Wednesday, March 04, 2026 - 09:00
Universidade Católica Portuguesa | Lisboa - Sede
The Universidade Católica Portuguesa recently formalized a cooperation agreement with the Scholas Occurrentes Portugal association to develop joint projects, carry out training activities, and promote volunteer initiatives.
One of the initiatives developed is the “Estar Juntos” (Being Together) Program, which was created in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic as a response to the challenge of unwanted loneliness and, with the support of the Catholic University, has taken on a face-to-face dimension. This initiative brings together Católica, Scholas Occurrentes, Cáritas Diocesana de Lisboa, and the São Jorge de Arroios Social and Parish Center. It is an intergenerational program that brings young people and the elderly together to learn, create, and share stories between generations.
The first edition of “Estar Juntos” in Lisbon is divided into two weekly two-hour sessions: Meetings with the Elderly on Friday afternoons at the São Jorge de Arroios Social and Parish Center, and Team/Training Meetings on Wednesdays at the Lisbon headquarters of the Universidade Católica.
Participation in all training sessions is mandatory.
