Applications open for T4EU Week: Design in all its forms
Universidade Católica Portuguesa, a member of the Transform4Europe Alliance, is opening applications for the T4EU Week ‘Design in all its forms’, which will take place from 19 to 23 May 2025 in Saint-Étienne, France. The event is aimed at undergraduate, master's and doctoral students from Católica and aims to promote the development of academic skills and intercultural interaction in an international environment.
T4EU Week will take place at the University of Jean Monet and will feature an agenda that combines academic and cultural activities. During the event, students will take part in intensive courses focussed on topics relevant to their areas of study and communication. In addition to the classes, there will be activities such as guided walks, workshops and cultural events, fostering the exchange of experiences between participants.
Saint-Étienne, known as the City of Design, will host T4EU Week during the International Design Biennale - Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2025. It will be a week of collaboration and exchange between university staff and students, centred on this year's theme: ‘Design in all its forms’. Courses and debates will explore design in various fields, including art, science, law and technology.
Students will be able to choose from seven courses in the areas of communication, business, education, gender equality, cybersecurity and the environment. Each course offers 3 ECTS, recognised in the Universidade Católica Diploma Supplement, and will include both face-to-face and online components.
Applications are open until 23 March 2025 and must be submitted online. Students must complete a form and submit a letter of motivation in English, explaining their choice of courses and the impact of participating in the event. Selection will be based on the number of ECTS credits completed, voluntary work, interest and experience in the subject of the courses.
The results of the selection will be announced by 2 April 2025. More information is available on the official Transform4Europe page on Católica's website, on the Transform4Europe page or by writing to t4eu@ucp.pt.
