Welcome to Católica: the dream starts here

To welcome all the new students and kick off the 2024/25 academic year in the best possible way, UCP is preparing a number of integration activities in Lisbon, Porto, Braga, Viseu and Sintra. Peddy-papers, sunsets, games, solidarity activities and lots of entertainment promise an epic entry into higher education.

The first event takes place in August. From the 29th to the 31st, Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics welcomes new bachelor's and master's students with a Navigator Challenge, a party and a sunset on the lawn of the headquarters in Lisbon, as well as the well-known Arraial.

Two days later, it is the turn of the freshmen from the Institute for Political Studies, who are invited to take part in the Welcome Garden Party. On 4 September, they come together again for a Volunteering Action, where they will help create the Laudato Si' Vegetable Garden and improve living conditions in the Zambujal neighbourhood and at Casa São Francisco de Assis.

And it's also with a volunteer action that the new students of the Faculty of Human Sciences will be welcomed on 2 September.

On 3 September, the Faculty of Biotechnology's week of welcome for new undergraduates begins, including a peddy-paper, a picnic and a club fair. At the same time, Católica Porto Business School's Empower Week begins, running until 5 September.

At the Nursing School at the Católica Porto Campus, the welcome includes meeting and talking to current nurses, as well as academic associations and groups, from 4 to 13 September. Meanwhile, future nurses at the headquarters in Lisbon will take part in numerous integration activities, interspersed with sessions such as ‘English for Nursing’ and ‘Creativity and Innovation’, on the 5th and 6th of the same month.

Also on the 5th, there will be a Welcome Session for the new students of every bachelor's degree programme at Católica Porto, followed by a general session for the campus, with the presence of the Pro-Rector, Isabel Braga da Cruz.

From 9 to 12 September, the new students at the Faculty of Law - Porto School will get to know each UCP club and group, as well as programmes such as ADN Jurista.

In Sintra, Católica Medical School welcomes new students with the Welcome Week, from 10 to 12 September, which includes a visit to the campus and the Simulation Centre at Hospital da Luz. This is followed by a weekend full of integration activities, including a social solidarity activity, from 13 to 15 September.

16, 17 and 18 September are the days for welcoming freshmen from the Braga Regional Centre, with performances by the Tuna, Líricas, a peddy-paper and a sunset. The welcome session for new students at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and the Institute of Management and Health Organisations at Católica in Viseu, takes place on 16 September. On September 16 and 26, new students from the Faculty of Dental Medicine will also be invited to join a picnic and quiz, marking International Paediatric Cancer Awareness Month.

This is your dream!
This is your league!
