Vice-Rector of the Universidade Católica is speaker at the conference ‘Faith and Medicine’

The Society for the History of Medicine of the Lisbon Geographical Society (SHM/SGL) will hold a Zoom conference on 30 October at 6 p.m. dedicated to the theme ‘Faith and Medicine’.

The meeting will be attended by the Vice-Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, José Manuel Pereira de Almeida, who will be the guest speaker.

The event is open to all members and people interested in attending the online conference.

The Lisbon Geographical Society (SGL), founded in 1875, is dedicated to promoting geographical and cultural sciences in Portugal by organising conferences, publications and scientific events. Within the SGL, the History of Medicine Section (SHM), created in 1997, focuses on preserving and disseminating the history of medicine, promoting studies, conferences and collaborations with scientific institutions.
