FCH attend Eduniversal World Convention 2022 in Cairo

Nelson Ribeiro, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, and Paulo Pinto, Coordinator for Outreach at the Lisbon Consortium, participated in the Eduniversal World Convention 2022 in Cairo, which celebrated the International recognition of its Master’s programmes in Culture Studies and Communication Studies.

According to Eduniversal's international ranking, the Master's in Culture Studies, which is part of The Lisbon Consortium, reinforced its position as #3 in the world in the "Cultural Management / Creative industries Management" category.

The Master’s in Communication Studies rose three positions from last year and now ranks #9 in the "Corporate Communication" category. For the first time, the MA is in the Top 10 of the best Master's programmes in Western Europe. In the "Marketing" category, the MA in Communication Studies moved up one position, and now ranks #16 in Europe.

Professor Joaquim Cerqueira Gonçalves, PhD, Full Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences and President of the Scientific Society of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, passed away on 22 August. Margarida Abreu Award
The  Faculty of Human Sciences will honor the legacy of Margarida Abreu, a social worker and distinguished professor, by establishing the Margarida Abreu Award, which aims to support, on an annual basis starting in the 2026/2027 academic year, one student entering the Undergraduate Degree in Social Work whose life story demonstrates exceptional resilience, the ability to overcome challenges, and a commitment to the values of social work.
