Católica's Applied Foreign Languages student wins Reading Competition - Ensino Superior

Paula Cavalcante, a student on the Degree in Applied Foreign Languages (LEA) at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, was the winner of the 2025 edition of the Reading Competition - Higher Education, promoted by the National Reading Plan 2027.

This distinction recognises Paula's talent and expressiveness in reading aloud, highlighting the quality of her participation among applications from all over the country.

The public awards ceremony took place on 8 July at 3pm in Aveiro. National Reading Programme 2027.

José Miguel Sardica, professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences and researcher at the Centre for Communication and Culture Studies (CECC), was awarded an Honourable Mention in the Grémio Literário 2024 Prize for his book ‘Portugal and England, Liberalism and Empire.
