Braga Regional Centre launches Mentorship Programme

During the 2021/2022 academic year, the Braga Regional Centre, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, developed the "Mentorship Programme", an integration project for students from Portuguese-speaking African Countries.

The programme, composed by a group of volunteers, whose main pillars consisted in the proximity between cultures, sharing values and integration in the university, in life in Braga and in the Portuguese culture, counted on the support of teaching staff, students and the Jesuit community in Braga.

Each student was accompanied by a mentor and throughout the year activities and trainings were carried out, such as welcome and end of year get-togethers; awareness-raising lectures; meetings with older students; and guided tours of the facilities and of the city.
