Applications Open for the T4EU Week 2024 in Katowice, Poland

Universidade Católica Portuguesa, a member of the Transform4Europe Alliance, has opened applications for the T4EU Week “Communication for a Better Future”, which will take place from October 21 to 25, 2024, in Katowice, Poland. The event is aimed at undergraduate, master's, and PhD students from UCP and seeks to promote the development of academic skills and intercultural interaction in an international environment.

The T4EU Week will be held at the University of Silesia and will feature a schedule that combines academic and cultural activities. During the event, students will participate in intensive courses focused on topics relevant to their areas of study and communication. In addition to classes, there will be activities such as guided tours, workshops, and cultural events, encouraging the exchange of experiences among participants.

The event will begin on October 21 with an opening lecture by Dr. Robert Rajczyk. Courses will take place in the mornings and will be complemented by sociocultural activities in the afternoons, including visits to Katowice’s historic center, mindfulness workshops, and a culinary competition. There will also be a concert at the Academy of Music and a visit to the Habsburg Palace in Pszczyna.

Students can choose one from seven courses in communication, business, education, gender equality, cybersecurity, and environmental studies. Each course offers 3 ECTS, recognized in UCP’s Diploma Supplement, and will include both in-person and online components.

Applications are open until September 30, 2024 and must be submitted online. Students must complete the form below and submit a motivation letter in English, explaining their course choices and the impact of their participation in the event. Selection will be based on the number of ECTS credits completed, volunteer work, interest, and experience in the course topics.

The selection results will be announced by October 4, 2024. For more information, visit the official Transform4Europe page on UCP’s portal, transform4europe webpage (www.transform4europe.eu) or contact t4eu@ucp.pt
