The Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto Regional Centre will host the inaugural session of the "De Par em Par" activity, a training and pedagogical sharing initiative that has gained recognition within the academic community over the past few years. This activity, part of the Axis 4 – Capacity Building and Pedagogical Development in Teaching of the INOV-Norte project, aims to promote the pedagogical development of faculty members and strengthen pedagogical awareness within the academic context.
On February 26, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto Regional Centre will host, in Room EAA003, the in-person training session marking the beginning of the activity 4.3 – “De Par em Par” of the INOV-Norte project. This event is fundamental as, in addition to bringing together participants, it will present the objectives and results of previous editions of the "De Par em Par" programme, carried out at the University of Porto. The session will also serve as the ideal opportunity to organize working groups and schedule future activities.
The "De Par em Par" activity involves four higher education institutions from the INOV-Norte consortium: Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Instituto Politécnico do Porto, Universidade do Porto, and, of course, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto Regional Centre.
It should be noted that the INOV-Norte project aims to drive pedagogical changes for high-quality teaching, in line with contemporary trends recognized both nationally and internationally. The project is funded by the Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR), under the «Impulso Mais Digital» Programme (Investment RE-C06-i07), submeasure Innovation and Pedagogical Modernization in Higher Education – Creation of Pedagogical Innovation Excellence Centers.
Maitê Gil, an expert in Education and Faculty Professional Development, and Inês Monteiro, an expert in Pedagogical Innovation, will represent the Católica Learning Innovation Lab (CLIL) – the Pedagogical Innovation Lab of the UCP – in leading this activity. The CLIL is part of the INOV-Norte project.
With a focus on collaboration and sharing of experiences and practices, "De Par em Par" reinforces the Universidade Católica Portuguesa's commitment to the continuous improvement of teaching, fostering pedagogical innovation within its academic community. In this regard, all faculty members of UCP are invited to participate in this initiative based on the sharing of practices, joint reflection, and collaborative work.
Participants can register individually or in pairs and may also indicate their preferences for classroom observations. This programme is entirely voluntary and has the primary goal of supporting the professional development of the participating faculty.
