Católica offers short-term Portuguese language courses for foreigners.

You can get more information from the Headquarters or Regional Centres:

• Lisbon - Headquarters;
• Porto Regional Centre;
• Viseu Regional Centre.

Lisbon - Headquarters

The Faculty of Human Sciences runs semester-length courses in Portuguese for international students attending Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Courses consist of two sessions per week (totalling 4,5h per week) and are worth 6 ECTS.

Levels: Portuguese for Beginners, Intermediate Portuguese and Advanced Portuguese.

Porto Regional Centre

The Regional Centre of Porto offer includes two courses of Portuguese for foreigners:

• Portuguese as a Foreign Language;
• Portuguese Culture and Language Course.

The first aims to give a basic knowledge of the Portuguese language, while the second, coordinated by Dr. Helena Gil da Costa, provides a cultural component.

The Regional Centre of Viseu offers Portuguese Courses for foreigners. This programme is coordinated and taught by Professor Filomena Capucho.
