CADOS and T4EU launch series of workshops on Science Communication

Católica Doctoral School (CADOS) is launching the first series of Transform4Europe (T4EU) courses on Science Communication in October 2024.

The ‘Around Writing’ series comprises three online workshops open to any doctoral student from UCP and T4EU partner universities.

Aimed at being a platform for discussion, experimentation and collaboration, the workshops are intended to boost students' existing knowledge while allowing them to try new tools to start their writing process with resources, motivation, purpose, and, above all, pleasure in engaging with their writing.

The sessions take place between October 23 and 31 and registration is open until October 21.

Session 1 | October 23: ‘Feedbacking me & my writing: the power of clearly communicating what works and what doesn't work for you’

Session 2 | October 29: ‘Designing your own home brew reading for writing (and not the other way around!)’

Session 3 | October 31: ‘ A.I. & You: effective prompts for ChatGPT, authenticity, and creativity in scientific writing.’

About the Science Communication Courses

The Science Communication Courses will equip participants with the tools to effectively communicate their research to the public. Delivered through online workshops between October 2024 and July 2025, each course will be provided by a different partner within the Transform4Europe (T4EU) alliance, focusing on key aspects of science communication.

The initiative aims to increase both the creation and consumption of scientific content, making it more accessible to global audiences. By improving communication skills, academics and students can better present their work to the public, fostering a greater understanding of science worldwide.
