Católica Medical School is the most recent academic unit of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, created in 2019. It will contribute to the innovation of medicine in Portugal, through three basic pillars: teaching, research and clinical. Católica Medical School aims to train professionals of excellence, with a high ethical sense and social responsibility, capable of contributing to the continuous improvement of health care, inspired by the mission of working for the common good.
The older Institute of Health Sciences - Viseu was created in 2016. This Institute is scientifically and pedagogically supervised by the Institute of Health Sciences - Lisbon and develops activities around three fundamental vectors: teaching, scientific research and services. The Institute offers the Integrated Masters in Dental Medicine and the Degree in Biomedical Sciences. The scientific research integrates activities of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health in the areas of Biosciences and Dental Medicine. The University Dental Clinic supports the training activity of the Integrated Masters in Dental Medicine and provides services to the community.
The Institute of Health Sciences was created at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 2004 with the objective of integrating all existing programs in the field of Health Sciences into a single national project and promoting its development.
The Institute of Health Sciences - Viseu created in 2016 develops activities around three pillars: Teaching, Scientific Research and Provision of Services. In terms of teaching, the Master's Degree in Dental Medicine and the Degree in Biomedical Sciences are taught. Scientific research follows the mission and objectives of the Centre four Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS), which has in Viseu the platforms: ProHealth and SalivaTec. The University Dental Clinic supports the training activity of the Integrated Master in Dental Medicine and provides services to the community.
The School of Arts in Porto is directed to all those who are interested in the ancient and contemporary artistic and cultural heritage, in a diversified theoretical and practical education, and who are curious and have an open mind to research and fondness for problem solving.
