Reading Music: “The French Style of Mlle Matsumoto”, Helen DeWitt

The sixth session of the Reading Music cycle marks a return to fiction, with a reading of Helen DeWitt's short story The French Style of Mlle Matsumoto, led by Sara Eckerson.

This session will take place on 3 December at 3.30 pm in the Timor Room (1st floor of the Library Building) and will be held in English.

As usual, the aim will be to discuss selected readings that illustrate specific methods of describing music as a way of unravelling the meaning of an art form often considered enigmatic (or reserved only for specialists).

Participation does not require formal knowledge of music.
