Through their training offer, the UCP Libraries aim to assist students, teachers, researchers and non-teaching staff, promoting the acquisition of skills in various areas in the domains of information and digital literacy, providing a greater level of autonomy and efficiency in the use and management of resources subscribed by the UCP or others that are in Open Access.

A broad training offer will also be ensured on topics related to science management, namely, Open Science, management of researcher profiles, impact of scientific production, research data, among others.

The training sessions planned for this academic year will take place remotely, without any prior registration needed, through the Microsoft Teams platform. The UCP Libraries intend to promote not only the participation of the entire UCP community as well as external participants in the trainings.

Training cycles

Thematic training sessions through Microsoft Teams where various topics will be addressed, including services provided by the libraries, use of information resources, practices and methodologies in scientific research, science management, among others. There will be no registration limit and each session will last 90 minutes (60 minutes for the presentation and 30 minutes for questions).

Ask a Librarian

Knowledge-sharing sessions with questions and answers on a previously defined topic, lasting approximately 30 minutes, via Microsoft Teams. These sessions will be open and with no registration limit.

Yes. The UCP Libraries express their full availability to carry out customized training sessions on the themes previously mentioned for the entire UCP community, such as research units, faculties, researchers, students or professors.

Yes. Most sessions will be recorded and made available on the UCP Libraries User Training Portal and on the Microsoft Stream video sharing platform. Other contents will also be made available on that portal, as well as the presentations used in the sessions and tutorials carried out by other organizations on the topics in question.
