UCP Libraries Network
Universidade Católica Portuguesa has several Libraries distributed by its Regional Centres that constitute the UCP Libraries Network, namely:
- Library of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (Braga)
- D. Manuel Vieira de Matos Library (Braga)
- João Paulo II University Library (Lisbon)
- Library and Information Management (Porto)
- D. José Pedro da Silva Library (Viseu)
One of the tools that this network makes available to the entire community is a Collective Bibliographic Catalog that unifies all the collection currently existing at the UCP Libraries.
However, working as network allows the creation of synergies at several levels between libraries that go far beyond providing a tool like the one mention before, making possible to optimize resources, reduce costs, share practices and promote collaborative work, providing the best possible service to our users and preserve their vast and relevant bibliographical background.
With these goals in mind UCP Libraries will continue to develop new services for our community, facilitating the interaction with users, improving communication processes with libraries, ensuring that they are a partner in both teaching / learning initiatives as well as research processes.
