Integrated Masters

Some programmes, such as Theology and Dental Medicine, have a structure composed of two integrated levels (1st cycle and 2nd cycle). The integrated cycle comprises a set of curricular units, the drafting and defense of a thesis or a project or a traineeship report at the end of the programme. After completing the integrated master's degree, with a normal duration of 10 semesters, conferring 300 ECTS credits, the students receive the master's degree and are considered professionally qualified for the exercise of the profession.

The Institute of Health Sciences - Viseu was created in 2016. This Institute is scientifically and pedagogically supervised by the Institute of Health Sciences - Lisbon and develops activities around three fundamental vectors: teaching, scientific research and services. The Institute offers the Integrated Masters in Dental Medicine and the Degree in Biomedical Sciences. The scientific research integrates activities of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health in the areas of Biosciences and Dental Medicine. The University Dental Clinic supports the training activity of the Integrated Masters in Dental Medicine and provides services to the community.
