Fees and funding
Fees, financial support and scholarships
Católica is a not-for-profit public institution, but its courses do not benefit from state funding.
The tuition fees are based on actual costs, which vary according to each courses' needs of equipment, facilities and laboratories.
In order to reduce the financial effort of students and their families, the UCP offers merit scholarships and monetary prizes that can reach the amount corresponding to tuition fees to reward students who obtain better results; has subsidized prices at canteen meals; benefits families with more than one child attending the UCP; and allows undergraduates or integrated masters to apply for Social Support UCP.
How to calculate my tuition fees?
Católica's courses are organized according to the Bologna Process model and measured in ECTS credits *: 1 academic semester = 30 ECTS;
At Católica the credit is used as the basis for calculating the student's tuition, which will pay according to the number of ECTS corresponding to the curricular units (subjects), in which they are enrolled in that semester (60 ECTS / year).
Please check the Tuition Fees 2019 - 2020.
* ECTS credits are units of measure of a common European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System that reflects the work done and the skills acquired by the students (classes, personal work, tutorials, group work, among others).
Social Support
The university want to ensure that financial, social or family circumstances do not prevent students to complete an academic degree.
The Students Support Offices help students in their scholarship search, showing which funding opportunities that are available to them. These services ensure the management of the process of analysis of the applications for the DGES' Study Grants. Check DGES Scholarship simulator.
Católica receives donations from private and institutional benefactors for the reduction or exemption of tuition fees for students in financial need and who meet the eligibility conditions set forth in the respective Regulations.
There is also UCP's Social Support Fund for students who, during their academic journey, have socioeconomic and family difficulties that make it impossible for them to continue their studies. UCP evaluates each case and provides the necessary support and conditions for students to complete their studies and achieve academic success.
Please get more information at your Student Support Office.
International Students
For international students there is a specific framework, which can be consulted at the International Relations Office of each academic unit.
